Disgusting Dinner features Chum the ghoul preparing a gloriously gross dinner for all of his best buds, including Boolynn who sports glasses and Ember who is shown wearing both a hearing aid and a cochlear implant processor. With a surprise ending, the book is great for all young readers and can serve as a spring board to talk about trying new foods, not yucking someone else’s yum. It represents children with devices having fun times with friends.  This story time could even lead to a small lesson in sign language!. 

Falls lives in Charlotte,  NC with her husband and her little dog, Trixie. She has been teaching for 36 years. Most of that time she has worked as a teacher in early intervention where she works with little ones born with hearing loss, ages birth to three, and their families.  She has also done some freelance writing for The Mailbox magazine. When she is not working, One of her favorite things to do when traveling is to collect children's books that have local characters or settings.
